A family trip to Terranea Cove yielded some great photo ops and a lovely, relaxing time of just enjoying God’s stunning creation.A short hike along the beach brings you to a little nook of cliffs sheltering an active corner of the ocean.Looking out over the wider oceanWe clambered through the rocks and over the cliffs, exploring and having fun.
From atop some cliffs, watching the tide come in and go out.
The rocks we climbed up, down, and over!
There was a very cool cave that the sea would rush into and out of. We couldn’t explore further into it, but it was just like a smugglers’ cave from the movies!
I sat above these moss-covered rocks and watched the waves repeatedly cover them. The waves, both beautiful and powerful, impressed us with their reflection of our Creator God.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
Then the channels of the sea were seen,
The foundations of the world were uncovered
At Your rebuke, O Lord,
At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
He sent from above, He took me;
He drew me out of many waters.
The Lord lives!
Blessed be my Rock!
Let the God of my salvation be exalted.
