During our road trip, we got to stay overnight in Las Vegas!
We were up really high–the 32nd floor!!! 😮
Outside, the next morning…
Views from various windows 😎
Driving through some of it…
We went to a restaurant that we ended up having to walk through a casino to reach. The number of people–especially older people–who were there, throwing their money away, was astounding.
The city of Las Vegas is amazing to see, but it’s so sad to realize that the gambling, drinking and immorality that goes on in these buildings destroys lives. It looks fabulous from the outside, but on the inside it’s not. Even those who are extremely rich here, if they don’t know Jesus, will perish.
Just like a mirage–it’s not what it seems at first.
Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase.
~ Proverbs 13:11 ~
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
~ Hebrews 13: 5 ~
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
~ 1 Timothy 6:9-10 ~
Let’s pray for God to reveal His truth and work His purposes in Las Vegas, to His glory!
